The Dream Machine is the newest AI video model on the block by Luma AI. We have seen Luma AI in the past quite a bit, but this time they kind of came out of nowhere with their new AI model and surprised all of us. I will have to say, as one of their beta testers, I started using it a couple of days before it was released to the public.
I have a group of friends who are also beta testers, so we have been sharing notes. Now that the public has seen the power of the new AI models by Luma AI, everyone who tested it before has been saying the same thing: Luma AI's model is hands down the best AI video model commercially available at this moment. Until we can get access to other models, this is the best one we have available because it generates up to five seconds of video comparable to models by PikaLabs and Runway.
This model is pretty consistent, although it still has a lot of the typical AI-generated video quirks, flaws, and issues. However, we can see a significant improvement compared to other commercially available models out there. ππΉ
πExploring The Clueless AI
The Clueless AIgency is an innovative AI modeling agency that claims to redefine the influencer landscape by creating AI-generated models with distinct personalities and authentic digital presences.
π§ My Thought!
I've seen some interesting things like clueless AI model agencies. These are super early in development. I do think there will probably be more AI modeling agencies like these in the future. π§
I'm not surprised why people are doing this. However, from what I can see in the research I did, the language used by the agencies includes words like diverse, personality, and deep meaningful terms like authenticity to describe their AI models and the agency itself. They do this without being fully transparent about who the stories behind the models are, why they stand for what they do, and what the diversities and authentic, meaningful personas the agency is building or the models they are representing are. π
There isn't a lot of information I can check out. So for now, I would either be cautious about trusting things like this or wait until more transparency is provided to the public. π¨
I feel like, based on the limited information I can find online about AI modeling agencies like this, I would be cautious about working with something that I have so little information about. π€

The influence of AI influencers or AI models like Aitana is that if you look at her Instagram, the content and pictures she posts are very geared toward the male gaze.
A lot of the images are very provocative and conform to conventional beauty standards that appeal to men.
My issue with influencers like this is that they perpetuate existing issues with beauty standards and social apps like Instagram.

Cara, a new social app for creatives, has skyrocketed in popularity, growing from 40K to 650K users in just a week. This surge is fueled by artists' frustration with Meta's AI policies, driving them to seek alternative platforms.

So, Instagram is now allowing users from Europe and the UK to opt out of their training programs. Many artists and creators outside of these regions are upset about not having the option to opt out, preventing their content and posts from being used to train Instagram's AI models.
We are seeing apps like Cara gain a lot of momentum as artists and creators move to platforms like Cara. They do not allow any generative AI usage, ensuring that anything posted is the artist's original work. π¨β¨ I think people should have the option to opt out if they want, instead of being forced into programs they didnβt sign up for.
Adobe's new terms and conditions have also mentioned something similar to Meta in the past few weeks. This has sparked discussions among creatives about the vagueness of Adobeβs terms regarding how they handle users' creative assets for training purposes. Adobe has stated they will redefine these terms on June 18th, and Iβll be updating you guys if there are any new developments. π π₯οΈ
So far, weβve seen a trend where big tech companies like Meta and Adobe try to gather as much free data from their users as possible for their AI models. This isn't limited to just Meta and Adobe. I personally think all these companies should prioritize their users' needs by offering options to opt out or compensating users who opt in to train their AI models. π€π‘
